Our Headquarters, located at 21 Court Street, is a historical building built in 1914. We believe it is the second oldest continuously working firehouse listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

CITY OF CORTLAND



The City of Cortland is the economic, educational, health and social center for Cortland County. The primary industries for the city, as well as the towns and villages immediately surrounding it, include health, education, manufacturing and retail. The 191 acre State University Campus with a mix of vintage and modern academic buildings, densely populated dormitories and a 6,500 seat sports complex has most of its population within the city. It is also the summer home to the NY Jets Training Camp. Within the city limits you’ll also find the downtown business district, Cortland Regional Medical Center, and the Cortland County offices, and criminal justice center. In addition, the city houses six elementary schools, one junior/senior high school, four large senior housing facilities including two high rises, 6,922 housing units which includes 450 multiple residence properties[1]. It also accommodates 470 commercial properties, and 120 public assemblies.
